“https://thehackernews.com/2018/09/nsa-secret-hacking-tools.html (Links to an external site.)
Nghia Hoang Pho, an NSA developer, was arrested and sentenced 5 and a half years in prison for taking private files and information to his home in Ellicott City, Maryland. His personal computer was using Kaspersky Antivirus which Russian hackers used to steal information from Nghia Hoang Pho in 2015. This article gives a great example of what can happen to anyone that is granted access to private information. Pho’s plea agreement states that “Pho removed and retained U.S. government property, including documents and writings that contained national defense information classified as Top Secret and SCI…..As a result of his actions, Pho compromised some of our country’s most closely held types of intelligence, and forced NSA to abandon important initiatives to protect itself and its operational capabilities, at great economic and operational cost.”
Just because the user has access to the files, it does not mean there will not be repercussions for manipulating or looking at files that he is not supposed to be interacting with. In the case of Nghia Hoang Pho, he was not aware that his computer was infected with a Trojan horse. Because of his poor decisions, he compromised the NSA.”

” This is my article for week 4: https://thehackernews.com/2018/09/newegg-credit-card-hack.html (Links to an external site.)
The title URL is pretty self explanatory. The popular tech website known as Newegg.com was hacked in a pretty bad ass way. It’s kinda similar to the story of the movie Office Space, were some code is injected into a company’s software to siphon money. There’s actually a snippet of some jQuery the hackers used to get the customers credit card information from Newegg. Basically, when the user would click the “buy” button within the register area, the code said hackers injected into the website sends them a copy of the users information! I found it funny we were just talking about something similar to Newegg’s situation, and boom, I found an article for a real life situation. “
